Round Brain, Wellsophyllia sp., is recognized by its typically-asymmetrical, erratic appearance. It will sometimes sting adjacent corals, if it can reach them. Requiring a medium water flow, it is perfectly content resting on the bottom of the home aquarium. As with most other members of Large Polyp Stonys, maintaining proper calcium and strontium levels is an important key to successful development. Any zooanthellic food designed for scallops or other filter feeders will also help ensure long-term success and overall health.
